OK so if you follow me and my meal plans, you’re about to eat a butt ton of produce. Costco has great prices on both organic and conventionally grown fruits and vegetables. While i don’t have all the fruits and veggies on my list I’d tell you that 50% of my cart is usually filled with items from the Produce Section and Refrigerator. Including some of the delicious prepared salad mixes (note I usually toss the toppings and dressings) These salads are perfect in a pinch or when you’re not in the mood to prep your own salads (we’ve all been there, right?).
By grabbing a bag of Asian Cashew Chopped salad, and ditching the dressing and toppings, you’re halfway to whipping up a Crunchy Kale Peptide Salad or an Unstuffed Egg Roll.
The selection of frozen veggies is ever-changing at Costco, but I have noticed that they consistently have had frozen organic riced cauliflower for about a year now and always a MUST on my list is their stir fry blend.
Affordable and simple to use, frozen veggies are such an easy way to stay on track and whip up some quick and healthy dinners with Veggie Sides.
Ya can’t forget the Eggs pack a delicious amount of (non-meat) protein and Costco has great deals on organic and conventionally raised eggs. A recent Find and Favorite for me are their prepared hard-boiled eggs for quick snacks or on the go breakfast.
Costco has a huge variety of fresh and frozen meat to chose from; much of it organic. Always check the labels if you looking at the Sausages or other Packaged Meats but Costco does a great job of stocking their shelves with Non GMO and Non Antibiotic protein options that are grab and go and perfect for all of us that say, I’m too busy to eat healthy. Did I forget to mention their fresh and frozen seafood selection is pretty awe-inspiring as well.
Costco is a great place to get lots of affordable clean eats.
If you’re not currently a member but want to check it out, you can shop with a friend and use their membership card for your purchase. Costco also allows you to get a one-day guest pass to check it out for yourself.
Costco makes it easy to stick to your budget for healthy eating.
The greatest challenge? Saying no to all the samples as you walk through the store 🙂
As always NEVER go Shopping when your HUNGRY LOL
