Whether you’re trying to get in shape, lose weight, track your steps, track your calories, compete with your friends, or even find the butt-kicking motivation you need to change your ways–there’s probably an app for that. We tried and tested quite a few and came up with our top 5 fitness apps below. These ones are the easiest to use, have the most accurate tracking, and give you info on everything you need to stick to your fitness and health goals. Oh, and we forgot to mention the apps are all completely free!
Top 5 Fitness Apps
1. My Challenge Tracker
Maybe we’re a bit biased because it’s a Beachbody app, but this is our favorite. It tracks your daily Shakeology consumption and your workouts. Plus, you can get incredible support from your Coach as well as connect with peeps in your Challenge Group to help keep you motivated. It looks a little bit like Facebook and is definitely welcoming of the #SweatySelfie as well
2. My Fitness Pal
This calorie counter and diet plan helps you keep track of the food and beverages you consume with the world’s largest nutrition and calorie database. It also allows you to scan the barcodes of packaged foods to automatically input that food into your daily log, so the convenience factor for this app is strong.
3. Fitness Buddy
Need some words of wisdom as well as tips and tricks on diet and exercise to help you build your best body ever? Then this awesome App is for you. This app has over 1700 exercises with step-by-step instructions and videos that show you how the exercise is done as well as what muscles it’s targeting.
4. Nike+
This app tracks your runs with distance, pace, time, and how your results compare with your friends. It also has maps of pretty much every running path in the globe as well as a feature that syncs the music on your phone with your run, so you don’t have to worry about anything except getting yourself from point A to point B. While this app doesn’t have a nutritional component, it does everything for you in the world of running!
5. Steps
This pedometer and activity tracker keeps count of how many steps you take each day and shows you your total distance traveled. Its design is simple, yet smart. And if you have any questions, they have great customer service that will walk you through any problems step-by-step (ha, get it?). This app is perfect for those who are just starting out and keeps you accountable for how active you are during the day. If you set a small goal of walking at least 2 miles per day, this app is a great way to make sure you stick to that!
If you’re already a TBB Member…
If you’re already a TBB member, you can also download the BOD app and do all of your workouts from your apple device, even if you’re not connected to wifi!
Unfamiliar with everything mentioned here?
Check out Beachbody On Demand and see how you can stream your favorite Beachbody workouts. The BOD app allows you to stream just as you would through the website, but you have the ability to download up to 7 workouts on your device for “anytime” use, even if there is no internet access at all!
