The first way to maintain your motivation (and I don’t think you’ll be surprised to hear this) is HAVE A PLAN. When going after a goal, most people can figure out the first 5 or 6 things they need to do, but then they lose track of what to do next. And when they lose track, they lose motivation.
If this sounds like you, take out a pen and piece of paper and create a brainstorm. Think of any teeny tiny little step you might need to take to accomplish your goal. Write down everything you can possibly think of and don’t worry about the order. Break larger tasks into smaller ones. Thinks as small as possible.
When you finish this brainstorm, hold onto it because it’s golden. This will help you stay motivated when you lose track and aren’t sure what to do next. You can continually refer back to this list when you run out of things to do to keep moving forward.
If you do just 2 or 3 things on this list each day, I promise, you’ll accomplish your goals much quicker than you ever dreamed possible!
So whether you have a goal for your fitness, your business or whatever it is that you want to change and improve on having a plan will make the world of difference!
